The official description presents settlers with routines, basic needs and personal wishes. Their satisfaction matters to whether they stay.
Look at households, not only totals
A regional surplus does not prove that a particular household is receiving what it needs. Record the household, requested service or good, and the observed blocker.
Keep needs and wishes distinct
Track a missing essential supply separately from an individual request. The developer spotlights call those personal household desires Whims. A checklist should preserve the distinction instead of flattening everything into a guessed happiness score.
